Combined Laser, PRP and ReCell and Fat Transfer

PRP Therapy (which stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma Therapy) involves blood being taken from the patient’s body (in the same way as in a blood test) then put in a machine that separates the blood cells, serum and platelets which are then injected directly back into the face or the area of the body in need of rejuvenation. It is sometimes referred to as ‘Dracula’ or ‘Vampire’ therapy.

Platelets release growth factors that help the body repair itself by stimulating cells to regenerate new tissue so as well as improving the skin tone the treatment also promotes healthy skin growth and collagen production so skin appears plumper and more vibrant.

Recomended for:

Anyone who prefers a more natural approach to anti-ageing treatments. Dracula Therapy is a completely safe and natural treatment and is highly effective at improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage and dull, worn-out looking skin. PRP can be used to rejuvenate the face, neck, décolleté, backs of hands and other body areas.

Results:

Expect the skin to be visibly smoother, firmer and revitalised within three weeks of treatment and improvements in skin tone and texture will continue in the following months. Results usually last for 18 months and top-up treatments will maintain the effects.

Recovery time:

Some minimal swelling and bruising may be experienced for 12-24 hours following treatment but very little down is required for this treatment and because your own plasma is used there is minimal risk of side effects.

How Often:

It depends on the condition of the skin but usually 2-3 treatments are recommended with a two week gap between each treatment.

SCAR REPAIR

This is the future of regenerative medicine and it is here today.

Fat is removed from the tummy and thigh area using the Body Jet system which provides us with the best fat retention rate possible.

It is then mixed with your own platelet rich cells extracted using PRP Therapy. PRP stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma Therapy and involves blood being taken from the patient’s body (in the same way as in a blood test) then put in a machine that separates the blood cells, serum and platelets which are then injected directly back into the face or the area of the body in need of rejuvenation. This popular treatment is often referred to as Dracula Therapy as it involves taking a blood sample!

Platelets release growth factors that help the body repair itself by stimulating cells to regenerate new tissue so as well as improving the skin tone the treatment also promotes healthy skin growth and collagen production so skin appears plumper and more vibrant.

When fat is then mixed with these concentrated regenerative cells, it forms a living tissue graft, which can then ‘take hold’ once it is returned back into the body to produce long lasting, visibly noticeable results. The platelet rich plasma improves the survival of the fat cells being transferred, by enhancing the grafting process through stimulating the blood supply, this also stimulates the regenerative process of the skin and muscles in the area. The procedure is highly effective for skin repair and can make a dramatic difference to even the most severe cases of acne scarring and sun damage. The photographs below show the results of our patients who have had a combined treatment of Laser, PRP and ReCell and Fat Transfer. The initial downtime is a week, with primary and secondary bandages for 7 days, then redness for a further two to three weeks.

Recomended for:

Acne scarring, sun damage, all signs of ageing.

Results:

Expect visible and long-lasting results, which improve over a number of months. Excellent results for even the most severe cases of acne scarring and sun damaged skin. The skin tone and texture is dramatically improved. The blood supply and the skin’s ability to repair itself so even the effects and sun damage and smoking can be repaired. The skin goes on improving over time – the regenerative process can continue up to 18 months with the end results lasting many years and ageing naturally with the person over time.

How Often:

This is usually a one-off treatment, with minor adjustment after 6 months if necessary, but it can be repeated after five years to maintain the effects if necessary.

Recovery time:

Expect swelling for the first week and bruising that can last a couple of weeks.
