There are tiny stitches, which need to be removed 7 to 10 days after the procedure, and ears can be re pierced after 6 weeks and studs can be worn initially, with heavier earrings after 6 months.

The volume loss can be corrected by using fillers or fat transfer after 4 weeks. This can be done as a primary procedure if an ear lift is not required.
