Droopy Eyelids: Seeking Makeup Tips Before Resorting to Blepharoplasty

I've always had droopy eyelids, it's not an age-related change (still a bit early for that). My eyes seem small and heavy because of this, my gaze is closed. I've learned to slightly correct the droopy eyelid with shadows, I've had permanent eyebrow makeup done (the tip was slightly lifted so that the eyes wouldn't look sad, they were made a bit higher over the eyes) and eyelid contouring. But the problem still persists. Girls, how else can we try to compensate for these eyelids, share your experience! I feel I'll decide on blepharoplasty after all...

Seeking Advice for Increasing Under-eye Bag Problem

I'm nearing my thirties, and the circles under my eyes that I've had since childhood now seem to be getting worse, almost like bags. I see the same thing in my mother and older sister - their faces still look relatively young, but their under-eye areas really spoil their appearance. As far as I understand, the only truly effective radical solution is blepharoplasty. But I guess it's not worth doing until you're 35-40. So how do you hold up until that age? Please share what helps you - maybe it's massage, maybe a special cream, maybe injections under the eyelid skin? Thanks

Concerns Post Lower Blepharoplasty: Seeking Similar Experiences

Hello, esteemed ladies. It's been 1.5 months since my op (lower blepharoplasty + canthoplasty). I'm really worried that the outer corners of my eyes are still very much drooping, even though the noticeable swelling has long gone. The surgeon says it's too early to evaluate the result, by the 3-4 month mark the eyes will "settle" into place. I'm bracing myself with patience, waiting. But I would like to hear the stories of other girls who have had lower blepharoplasty. Have you experienced drooping of the outer corners of the eyes? How long did it take for your eyes to "settle" into place? Was a repeat surgical intervention required? In general, I would be glad to read your stories.

Unhappy with Blepharoplasty and Eyebrow Lift Results, Seeking Advice

Hello. A month ago, I had a circular blepharoplasty + endoscopic eyebrow lift. I'm not happy with the result. At first, my upper eyelids scared me, as my eyes were too slanted and the eyelids didn't fully close for about 2 weeks. Now it has somewhat dropped, but now my lower eyelids scare me. They're being pulled down and the whites of my eyes are very visible. It all looks quite sad. If anyone has experienced the same, please tell me, will the lower eyelid change over time, will it return to its previous shape??? Moreover, this became noticeable closer to the month, initially it wasn't there, that's what scares me. The doctor always has the same answer - wait, everything is fine 😟.

First-Time Experience and Impressions of Eyelid Surgery

Hello, dear forum members! I often read this forum, but decided to write for the first time. On Tuesday, 31st January, I had my first ever plastic surgery - blepharoplasty of the upper and lower eyelids (conjunctival). I had been contemplating doing THIS since November 2011, and finally - it happened. During the stage of studying this issue, while exploring various forums, I often came across reviews of a clearly promotional nature. Then I vowed: if I dare and do it, I will write everything honestly and without embellishment. So, I am 36 years old. For a long time, my lower eyelids, or rather the bags under my eyes, frankly annoyed me. Initially, I thought to do only conjunctival plastic surgery of the lower eyelids, but as I "matured" and tuned in, I finally decided to do everything at once: both upper and lower under general anaesthesia. Today, Saturday 4th February. I was operated on Tuesday 31st January. Today I went to the clinic and they removed the stitches from my upper eyelid. My impressions of the past: 1. There are no painful sensations after the operation, which I was so afraid of. The painkillers prepared just in case were not needed overnight. There was a slight tingling of the upper eyelid for a few hours. That's ALL! 2. The main difficulty is the appearance during the first two days. But, what I understood, dear forum members. The main thing is not to lose heart on the first day after the operation and on the morning of the second day. The appearance is really shocking - the eye is practically not visible. I literally "hid" from my loved ones and did not allow anyone to look at me. Thoughts in my head are like "why did I even start this". BUT! by the end of the second day, the eyes stopped tearing, the swelling from the upper eyelids went away. On the third day, the swelling from the lower eyelids went away. 3. The results PERSONALLY for me - appeared practically on the 2nd day - there are really NO bags under the eyes, and the upper eyelid really "opened up"! So, I can say: I am really happy that I overcame myself and decided on the operation.

Blepharoplasty Recovery Tips and Experiences Wanted

Good day to all! A question for those who've had blepharoplasty - full or lower. What kind of rehabilitation did you use for recovery, how long did the recovery take? I had the lower one done on 21st August, 43 years old - classic with external stitches, with skin resection on the eyelids. Stitches - are fine, one eye had a slight eversion - after five weeks there was no trace left - I did massage with eye rolling 😆 So the eye that I was most worried about at the beginning is now completely fine. On the other eye, the stitch seemed to lag in healing, there's a persistent swelling, not large, but I can see it. Has anyone else had this? What would you recommend? My doctor answers my questions, saying that two months is not a term.
