DO YOU REMEMBER THE VERY MOMENT YOU DECIDED TO GO AHEAD WITH TREATMENT?

I was told I looked 'tired'. That was enough to get my attention, definitely.

Some other friends actually picked up on the fact that the skin on my face and neck had darker patches on it that seemed to getting worse. It was very ageing. I wanted to brighten myself up, look fresher and younger.

WHAT WERE YOUR PROBLEM AREAS?

I had developed quite a lot of pigmentation around the cheekbone, chin and forehead area - it was a lot darker that the rest of my face and just wasn't flattering at all. I wanted it gone!

I love the results. Everyone comments on how well I look now!

The pigment that was causing me concern has really diminished, which is exactly what I wanted. My skin is brighter and has a youthful glow about it now.

WHAT WAS IT ABOUT THE HARLEY STREET SKIN CLINIC THAT TOOK YOUR FANCY?

My initial consultation was honest, in depth, and I felt I was in the right hands from the get go! I met with Lesley originally who understood my concerns and I then met with Dr Khan – both were exceptional. I didn't feel like I was just another customer; they really took their time to understand me.

I was advised to go away and think about it, but I actually decided it was what I wanted whilst I was in the surgery. I knew that both the procedure and the clinic were the right choice for me.

CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE PROCEDURE DAY?

Well, I had a face peel, which had to be left on for 10 hours and then I had to wash it off. Before I went in, naturally, I was nervous but the receptionist made me feel at ease – made me a cup of tea and I began to relax almost immediately.

My skin was red once I removed the peel, just as was described by the clinic. I then had to use the treatment cream straight away in order for the peel to start working even deeper into my skin. It all went very smoothly.

HAVE THERE BEEN ANY PERKS THAT YOU WEREN'T EXPECTING?

I can go anywhere without makeup now, and if and when I do feel like wearing makeup, I can wear a lighter shade of blusher now. The dark pigment on my cheeks has lifted and I don't have to go heavier with a darker blusher to cover it up anymore!

WHAT WOULD YOU TELL PEOPLE THAT WERE ON THE FENCE ABOUT TAKING A SIMILAR ROUTE?

After treatment, I followed their advice to a tee and did exactly what was advised. I was thrilled to see my skin was behaving exactly the way that Dr Khan and Lesley told me it would do. They really know their stuff and I trust them completely.

WOULD YOU CONSIDER POPPING BACK TO THE CLINIC IN FUTURE?

Without question. I felt very looked after indeed. The surgery is clean, everyone took care of me and everything that Dr Khan did throughout my treatment, he talked me through as he was doing it.

I felt I was in very good hands – they don’t just treat the skin, they have great advice on how to look after yourself from the inside too. Love, love, love!
