A Botox injection contains botulinum toxin that helps in relaxing the jaws and weakens the masseter muscles. It helps stop teeth grinding by reducing symptoms like neck, jaw, face, and ear pain, tooth pain, or sensitivity, and tightness of the jaw, as well as the tension headache. This treatment can also help reduce symptoms of TMD (temporomandibular joint disorder) like TMJ (temporomandibular joints, which help on chewing) damage, limited jaw motion, and the pain accompanied by TMD.
