Lifted, Radiant You
Say goodbye to sagging, hello to radiance.
What is Sagging Skin?
Saggy skin is an ordinary skin issue where the skin loses its skin tightness and stretchability and results in a droopy or free appearance. This condition occurs as the collagen and elastin fibres that shape and support the skin deplete as we age. Despite this, sagging skin is a natural part of aging, but there are many that affect our skin that can hasten onset or wise sagging skin treatment, including: believe it or not, the sun, cigarettes, fluctuating hormones, and significant weight loss. Sagging skin is not life threatening but sagging skin can affect the outlook of a person and cause you to lose your self confidence.
Ordinarily, skin sagginess is caused by:
- Aging: With age, we lose our natural collagen and elastin. This leads to sagging, papering especially around the face, jawline and neck.
- Every Time You Spend Time in the Sun: UV rays break down collagen and elastin, which means skin sags more easily and wrinkles more easily.
- Weight Loss: If weight is lost fast or if a great amount is lost the skin can be left hanging about.
- Hormonal Fluctuations: Changes in hormones, predominantly during menopause, may impact skin tone and elasticity.
Skin loosening or sagging can be mild to severe and generally, it has a pronounced appearance on the face, neck, and underarms. Sagging skin is not dangerous, but it can hurt a person’s self-image. If you’ve lost that elasticity and your skin is sagging, though, it can be lifted, firmed and rejuvenated with the right skincare routine and professional treatments, returning it to a tighter, more youthful look.
What Does Sagging Skin Feel Like?
Sagging skin is often described as skin that has lost some of his considered firmness and elasticity, old and droopy or loose. It involves more than just looks — it can even affect a person’s self-image and self-esteem. Common experiences associated with sagging skin include:
- Loose/Sagging: You might have a sense of particular areas of your skin being less firm, especially around the face, neck or underarms.
- Frustrating firmness loss: No matter how many products you slather on your skin to give yourself a lift, droopiness can feel like a forever nuisance you may not be able to see in effect as soon as you’d like.
- Signs Of Aging: When the skin begins to sag, they could give you the impression that you’re older than you are that contributes to your appearance.
- Makeup Challenges: The aging skin tends to sag and may also make it difficult for the makeup to glide on smoothly, resulting in makeup settling in the fine lines making the face look older than what you are.
With proper care, and professional treatments, it’s possible to get firmer and more youthful looking skin again
