Do you remember the very moment you decided to go ahead with treatment?
I suppose it’s an ongoing thing with me. I think it’s really important to take some time for yourself and I think it takes time to find the skincare and treatments that work best for you, so I like to be able to experiment with what’s out there. I’m always up to try something new – I guess that’s the kind of thinking that landed me in the Australian outback! [Vanessa appeared on 2017’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Me]
What were your problem areas?
I just wanted to know that I was doing the best by my skin, really. I have combination skin so it makes it quite difficult to know if I’m giving each part of your face everything it needs. That’s initially what lead me to Lesley. I’m very active too so sometimes worry about the effect that has on my skin.
Happy with the results?
Oh 100%. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back for more.
What was it about the Harley Street Skin Clinic that took your fancy?
I’d heard about the clinic from some friends who have been before and they love it so I knew I’d be in good hands.
I know a couple of the other girls [The Saturdays] swear by Lesley’s advice so in honesty, it was a no brainer.
Can you tell us a little bit about the procedure day?
I loved it! My skin felt amazing immediately afterwards. Really tight and smooth and toned. Because the treatment stimulates collagen, it really lifts the skin. It’s amazing. I’d been in to talk with Lesley about some of my concerns, and after taking a close look at my skin we decided to try out some Fractora Forma.
On the day, it was really straightforward. It took just less an hour and I saw the effects immediately. I remember being really surprised that it got to work so quickly to be honest.
Have there been any perks that you weren't expecting?
Well, I’ve been training really hard for a charity boxing match for Sport Relief, and with that kind of training, makeup is the last thing on your mind. It’s just not really an option and wouldn’t last 5 minutes in the ring.
Fractora has definitely enabled me to go out feeling totally comfortable with my face au natural. That’s definitely a perk.
What would you tell people that were on the fence about taking a similar route?
I’d say ‘go for it’. Treating yourself is so important, and personally, I always leave the clinic feeling great.
I’d say for anyone looking for low maintenance beauty – maybe someone that’s as active as me – Fractora Forma is perfect. My face feels so fresh and healthy, but in a really natural way.
Taking care of your skin means you just feel good. Cleansed, I guess. And feeling healthy is priceless, too. To me, it’s no different to making sure you eat well, get tonnes of sleep or put in those hours in the gym. You either go hard or you go home, right?
Would you consider popping back to the clinic in the future?
Totally. I definitely want to visit The Harley Street Skin Clinic again – I’ve actually been back a few times since Fractora treatment, experimenting with different light therapies and facials. I think after all the boxing training I’ll be in need of a deep tissue massage, too!
