Who founded the Harley Street Skin Clinic?
“My husband, Dr. Aamer Khan, and I founded the Harley Street Skin Clinic in 2006. I’ve worked in the beauty and aesthetics industry for over 35 years, and during that time, I saw a real need for advanced treatments that went beyond traditional facials but didn’t require surgery. That’s what inspired me to create a clinic that bridges the gap between beauty and medical aesthetics.”
What inspired you to start the clinic?
“Before opening the clinic, I was distributing leading American skincare brands like Jan Marini, DCL, and DDF to major retailers such as Harvey Nichols and Selfridges. At the time, if you wanted to improve your skin, your options were quite limited—you either had a facial or a full facelift, with nothing in between. When dermal fillers and Botox started becoming available in the late ‘90s, I realized there was a huge opportunity to offer treatments that could enhance skin health and delay the need for surgery. That’s what led me to create Harley Street Skin Clinic.”
