Tetracycline for acne causing gut issues?

The doctor prescribed tetracycline antibiotics for acne, but my gut isn't reacting very well. Has anyone undergone this treatment, did it help at all?

Help Needed for Large Pores on Face

I have combination skin, and the pores on my nose, cheeks, and forehead are simply disgustingly large. I've tried all sorts of masks and the like - no results. I've read that peeling and polishing can help get rid of this problem. But I've heard that peeling doesn't always help so now I don't even know what's best to do. Apart from enlarged pores and a couple of small pimples, there are no more problems. What would you advise?

Recovering After Eye Mole Removal Surgery?

Good day! I'm scheduled for the removal of a conjunctival nevus (a mole on the white of the eye) as it's growing. I'm quite concerned about the recovery and the possibility of getting back behind the wheel. The doctors explained that I'd be off work for a week, after which I could return to normal life and the operation wouldn't affect my vision. I'm curious about how the recovery actually goes after eye surgeries, whether there are any complications and, most importantly, how soon I can drive again? I'm also interested in whether you or anyone you know has had moles on their eyes, as I understand this is quite a rare "luxury".

Struggling With Skin and Period Issues, Need Help

Girls, hello! I'm 20 years old. I'm writing to you with tears in my eyes, I have hyperprolactinaemia, tonsillitis and acne since childhood, had my glands removed at 17. My face didn't get any cleaner, my immunity didn't suffer much, but my periods have been bad since I was 14 and still are. I have a month on, a month off. I've tried everything - blood transfusion, cosmetologists, dermatologists, vitamins, the pill (Yasmin), dydrogesterone, retinol cream (helps many), but my skin remains problematic, I can't stand it anymore, I'm a young girl, but my face is a nightmare and it's not getting any better. Today I read that polycystic ovary syndrome can be a result of tonsillitis. Because of the increased prolactin, I don't have periods, and my face is like this. They write that to lower prolactin you need to take dydrogesterone, I've already taken it, I gained 5 kg now I weigh 70 at a height of 173 (I go to the gym 3 times a week). I really don't want to gain weight, please help, advise, I don't know what to do anymore. The pill didn't help with my face, only with periods, I think, maybe I should try the patch instead of Yasmin. I'm grateful for any advice.

Help Needed for Persistent Back Acne

Girls, please help me get rid of such an ailment. I'm terribly self-conscious. My whole back is covered in acne. I'm 18 and a bit. I've been battling them since I was 12, as soon as my period started. The dermatologist said it would pass with puberty. The gynaecologist says it will pass over time anyway if I take care of my skin. I've tried so much: ointments, creams, foams, tonics, sprays, cleansed my intestines and the body as a whole. Nothing helps. I'm really at my wit's end. Please help, thanks in advance!

Roaccutane Users: New Acne Spots Appearing?

Hello! I'm one of those who's taking the drug Roaccutane. I've had acne for 5 years now. Only recently have I started a proper treatment for my problem. For 5 months now, I've been taking tablets once a day. The dose is 20 mg. I was diagnosed with grade 4 acne. The acne was mainly on my back and chest. I managed to "save" my face. My back and chest started to clear up. But very recently, spots started appearing on my shoulders, face, neck, thighs, and they're awful. That is, they're now appearing in places where they weren't before. Can anyone tell me, has anyone else experienced this? How do you deal with it?

Struggling With Skin Issues and Self-love

Good day. What to do, I don't want to look at myself in the mirror.. My skin has become somewhat yellowish, I'm fed up with acne. I went to a dermatologist and they prescribed me various creams and lotions, but it didn't lead to anything good. Unfortunately, I don't have the finances to go to a cosmetologist. I work as a chef, constantly near the stove, the heat, my face is peeling. Tell me how to deal with my skin? How to start loving myself? Maybe someone else had more or less similar problems. I would be grateful for advice.

Best Acne Products: Real User Recommendations?

People with acne, what cosmetics do you use? Share your reviews, I know famous brands like GIGI, HL etc., do they really help? Many also use Mixit. Do you sign up for mechanical facial cleansing procedures or do you use some product to get rid of blackheads? Recommend pore-cleansing masks that you use yourself. What do you use to dry out acne? There are many positive reviews about Effezel, but I'm worried that I'll burn my skin and it won't help. I would like to hear opinions, reviews from people who really have acne, not "experts". Dermatologists, cosmetologists, please do not advertise yourselves, do not waste my time!

Community Topics Skin health and glow

Skin health and glow are marks or indentations left on the skin after severe acne heals. They can appear as raised, depressed, or discolored areas, resulting from inflammation and damage to the skin tissue.
