Acne Returns Post-Dermabrasion, Affecting Family Planning

Girls, maybe someone has experienced this. I was treating acne for over a year. I had a moderate degree. I tried EVERYTHING. Spent a fortune. Only Roaccutane helped. I took a six-month course. After discontinuation, the skin condition was more or less okay. Of course, the oiliness increased, a small rash appeared on the forehead and 3-4 pimples came out, but I managed with external care. I was left with scars and marks. I was already at the finish line. I decided to go for dermabrasion. An experienced doctor was recommended. We agreed on 2 procedures. One lighter, to see how the skin will behave and one main. We did the first one. I'M SHOCKED! Acne has returned. All cheeks are again covered with inflammations. I don't know what to think, what to do. I'm so tired of this. I can't live a normal life for 2 years. What second dermabrasion. The doctor again suggests taking Roaccutane, but my husband and I are planning a baby after the New Year. I can't fully understand. Did acne return because of the dermabrasion or did it just coincide in time? I also have no idea what to do next 😟 I want clear skin.

21-Year-Old Struggles with Worsening, Persistent Skin Problems

Good day. I'm 21, and the past year has been an absolute nightmare for me. My skin has always been hypersensitive and somewhat problematic, but the spots that have appeared (or rather, worsened) recently won't let me live in peace. I've even had an ultrasound scan (my gastrointestinal tract is all normal, although my gallbladder is slightly displaced), and I've had hormone tests (thyroid hormone and testosterone) -- all normal. The dermatologist advised me to cut out lactose, gluten, and sugar from my diet (you can't imagine how difficult this is for me), but new spots keep appearing on my face, albeit fewer. Has anyone else had a similar problem?! This issue is already making it impossible for me to live peacefully, I'm on the brink of despair.

Seeking Effective Rosacea and Acne Treatment Advice

Good day. I'm absolutely fed up with trying to find the right facial care. I have not terrible acne + specific rosacea on my cheeks (with subcutaneous pimples. Red, porous, bumpy skin on the "apples"). At the moment, I'm using the Effaclar range, it helps wonderfully with acne, my face has become much better, smooth, but not where the rosacea is. I don't apply the alcoholic lotion there. Can you advise how you dealt with rosacea with subcutaneous pimples? The doctor prescribed Skinoren - it didn't get better at all.

Self-Removed Moles: Keloid Scars or Danger? Seeking Remedies

Three months ago, I decided to remove some small moles on my hand myself using an antipapilloma gel. Now I realise, it was a bad idea. There were scabs, then they fell off. Now there are still very red spots 0.5 cm in diameter with a shiny top layer of skin, slightly raised, slightly swollen after a bath, are these keloid scars or what? Will they go away over time or what should I do? What ointments can I use, maybe peels / laser resurfacing or is it not possible on the site of the removed moles? Maybe the moles were not completely removed and I need a dermatoscopy? How dangerous is the situation in general and can melanoma develop from this?

Seeking Advice for Post-Teenage Skin Texture Improvement

The active adolescent period has already passed, and with it, most of the teenage skin problems have almost disappeared. Breakouts occur much less frequently and they're much easier to combat. But I wouldn't exactly call my skin smooth( There are no scars from acne per se, but there are enlarged pores, and the skin has some small spots, dots. Can you advise on how to make it smooth, with an even tone? I understand that this will take time and I will continue to treat it, but how do I properly fight the aftermath of teenage breakouts? Anyone had a similar experience?

Acne-Friendly and Acne-Aggravating Foods: Substitutions and Misconceptions

What foods can you eat with acne and which ones can't you? It's clear that you can't drink fizzy drinks, alcohol. You can't eat fatty, spicy, salty, floury, dairy, sweet foods. People with acne, what do you replace your foods with? For example, I gradually stop eating chicken, can it be replaced with turkey? Won't there be acne? Why can't vegetables be eaten?

Skin health and glow

Community Topics Skin health and glow

Skin health and glow are marks or indentations left on the skin after severe acne heals. They can appear as raised, depressed, or discolored areas, resulting from inflammation and damage to the skin tissue.
