DO YOU REMEMBER THE VERY MOMENT YOU DECIDED TO GO AHEAD WITH TREATMENT?

Several of my friends had been to the Harley Street Skin Clinic and were so happy with their results, so after that I was definitely curious. One friend in particular had had a Silhouette Soft Lift and she just looked amazing - but also very natural. After seeing her results I decided it was about time that I booked a consultation for myself!

WHAT WERE YOUR PROBLEM AREAS?

My main concern was my lower face and neck. It wasn't bad enough for me to consider having surgery to lift it or anything, but I was definitely aware of it losing definition.

I do a bit of modelling from time to time so anything I have done had to be very discreet. The threads that Lesley recommended were the perfect solution.

HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS?

I was delighted with the instant result, and after a few weeks when everything had settled down, I was even more amazed at how natural it looked.

WHAT WAS IT ABOUT THE HARLEY STREET SKIN CLINIC THAT TOOK YOUR FANCY?

I had my consultation with Lesley through recommendation. I was quite nervous about having anything done, but Lesley totally relaxed me and gave me several options for treatments that would give me the best results. What made my mind up was the fact that she was not pushy at all. She explained everything thoroughly to me and I went away with all of the costs to decide in my own time. That impressed me most. I knew after that I was in good hands.

CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE PROCEDURE DAY?

I arrived an hour before my treatment to have anaesthetic cream applied to my face. I was able to sit and read a magazine in a private room and have a coffee - it was all very relaxing, actually. After an hour my face had gone numb and I went in to see Dr Khan, where he inserted the threads into each side of my lower face and neck. I didn't feel any pain at all, just a little gentle tugging and afterwards a bit of tightness.

HAVE THERE BEEN ANY PERKS THAT YOU WEREN'T EXPECTING?

To be honest, I didn't expect it to look so natural and still get such great lift. Afterwards, friends would say to me "Wow, you look really well!" without knowing I'd had anything done. That's the biggest perk for me - it's so subtle. As a model it was very important for me not to come out looking completely different from my photographs on my agency's website. I got exactly what I wanted from the thread lift: a really natural-looking lift to my lower face.

WHAT WOULD YOU TELL PEOPLE THAT WERE ON THE FENCE ABOUT TAKING A SIMILAR ROUTE?

I would highly recommend the clinic, especially for those that are unsure of the exact route they want to take but know they need a bit of help, like I did. I can assure you that after the initial consultation you will feel much more positive after having all of the information - including costs - presented and thoroughly explained to you.

You're not at all pressured into making a decision immediately, either, which I know some people worry about. You can take all of the facts and figures home with you and chat with your partner or friends about it before you decide.

WOULD YOU CONSIDER POPPING BACK TO THE CLINIC IN FUTURE?

Actually, I have been back to the clinic since. I've been in to have a facial peel as I had a lot of sun damage on my face. It's given my skin a new, youthful look with a nice healthy glow. I don't think I'd go anywhere else now to be honest.

Since I love the finish, and it went so well the first time, I'm even considering coming back again once the initial threads have dissolved.
