Introduction
It is a minimally invasive procedure which is best in addressing one of the most common concerns of the majority of the people which is sagging skin and stubborn fat in the upper arms which others called it as “bingo wings”. Compared with the traditional surgery, this procedure contours the arms without undergoing any extensive scarring which is commonly associated with a full arm lift.
This body contouring treatment is powered by Radiofrequency-Assisted Lipolysis (RFAL). It is a recommended treatment for patients dealing with a combination of Localised fat and mild-to-moderate skin laxity. This works by simultaneously melting fat cells and contracting your skin’s connective tissues. This process leads to a dual-action result which a traditional liposuction cannot achieve.
The core of BodyTite Arms is RFAL Technology. During the procedure, there will be a thin internal probe inserted through a tiny incision, while there will be an external electrode that slides along the surface of the skin.
As the device gradually moves, the radiofrequency energy will pass between the internal and external components, this is where the heating of the fat tissue happens until it liquifies. This is a controlled heat in order to reach a specific temperature which will trigger the immediate contraction of the Fibro-Septal Network. After the treatment and over the following 3 to 6 months, the thermal energy will stimulate a long-term healing response which will also lead to the production of new collagen and elastin.
How Does BodyTite Arm Work?
When you think about BodyTite Arms, it involves RFAL Technology and dual-action approach. Compared with the traditional liposuction, this which only addresses volume.
The process of this treatment involves two electrodes: it is with one thin cannula inserted through a tiny incision under the skin and the other one is an external wand that glides along the surface.
- When the internal probe moves through the specific fat layer, it releases radiofrequency energy that generates heat which effectively melts or liquefies the fat cells. This procedure makes the fat much easier and gentler to move out compared with other traditional mechanical liposuction.
- Since it is a dual-action procedure, simultaneously, the energy flowing between the internal and external probes will heat the fibroseptal network and the deep layers of your dermis. This heat will then cause the skin to contract by up to 25–45%, while also triggering the increase of production of for collagen and elastin over the next 6 months.
This is the recommended treatment for you if you are the following:
- If you are already at or near your goal weight and you want to fast track your target shape. This is only a contouring procedure and not a weight-loss treatment.
- If you have good to moderate skin elasticity, you’d be seeing the best results.
- If you want to avoid any scars. This is recommended since BodyTite is a minimally invasive alternative.
- If you are in good health. You should be a Non-smoker with no active skin infections or any underlying medical issues

What Is The Process of BodyTite?
It involves a meticulous process which is designed to bridge the gap between non-invasive treatments and major surgery. It would typically take around 1 to 2 hours per session.
- Pre-Op Consultation: This is the most critical and essential step. You will be assessed by your skin elasticity and fat distribution. This is to fully ensure that BodyTite will provide the results you are expecting. You will also be required to have a screening for your medical history and will be receiving instructions on what to avoid before the procedure like blood thinners or smoking.
- Marking & Anaesthesia: On your procedure day, your surgeon will mark out the “target zones” on your arms while you are standing. The area will be thoroughly numbed using a tumescent local anaesthetic. It is a fluid which not only blocks pain but it also helps to firm the fat for easier removal.
- Cannula Insertion & RF Delivery: During the procedure, there will be a tiny incision which is usually in a discreet location placed near your elbow or armpit. The specialized BodyTite cannula will be then inserted. As the internal probe heats and liquefies the fat cells, there will be an external electrode which glides over the skin surface.
- Fat Aspiration: Once the fat is already liquefied by the RF energy, there will be a fine cannula used to gently suction out the melted fat. This is for the further refining of your arm’s contour.
- Closing & Compression: Need not to worry about incisions because these are all tiny incisions and they often don’t require stitches. However, they may just need one small suture but this is completely dissolvable. A supportive compression sleeve is also a must and be applied immediately in order to manage swelling and support the healing.
How Is The Recovery Phase for BodyTite Arm
Since this is a minimally invasive procedure, the recovery for BodyTite is significantly faster than a traditional arm lift. This is because there are no large surgical incisions that require ample time of healing. According to the majority of the patients, they often describe the feeling as similar to muscle soreness after an intense gym session compared with surgical pain.
Here’s what you can expect:
- You will most likely need to wrap your arms in a specialized compression garment. Within 24 to 48 hrs, note that it is normal to experience some leakage from the tiny incision sites.
- For most people, you will be required for 2 to 3 days of initial rest.
- Swelling usually peaks between 3 to 7 days. Bruising is very common and it can usually spread down toward the forearm due to gravity.
- You might also notice a temporary numbness, tingling, or some firm lumps under your skin. These are normal signs and you don’t need to worry about them.
How Much Does It Cost In The UK?
BodyTite is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure for the arms and it reflects the high-end technology and surgical expertise involved. The price usually depends on the clinic expertise and location as well as the complexity of your case.
In the UK, the usual price range for BodyTite on the arms would be between £3,000 and £5,500. For the most regional clinics across the UK, they usually charge between £3,000 and £4,000 for a standalone arm treatment. While in some premium locations like London & Harley Street, the price typically starts at £4,500 and can usually exceed £6,000 for highly experienced Lead Doctors.
However, you should also know that there are some factors that usually affect the pricing of BodyTite Arm. Here are some of those:
- Your Surgeon’s Expertise. This involves the decades of experience of your surgeon so they will naturally charge more compared with a junior aesthetic doctor. Since the treatment is delicate and will require more precise skills, many patients find the expertise premium worth the investment.
- Extent of Fat Removal: If you will be requiring a significant fat removal alongside the radiofrequency tightening, most likely the price will increase. Basic BodyTite focuses only on tightening, but BodyTite with Liposuction would often add £500 to £1,000 to its base price.
- Clinic Facilities: Clinics that are CQC-registered provide a higher level of safety and emergency backup compared with a standard treatment room, which would often reflect in the facility fee.
Is Bodytite Right for You?
BodyTite is recommended for you if you feel stuck between the dilemma of working out without seeing any progress while also anxious about trying any surgical procedure. It is specifically designed for people who are experiencing Localised fat on their arms, which for most people they see as stubborn fat since there is no way they could get rid of it. Unlike CoolSculpting, which is only designed to freeze fat and can sometimes leave skin looking more loose, or other traditional liposuction, which doesn’t tighten the skin at all, BodyTite is a dual-action and uses heat to melt and liquify the tissue from the inside out. This is a great option if you really want to avoid the long, visible scars brought by a traditional surgical arm lift but still aiming for a firmer result.
You only need to make sure that you are already near your goal weight before undergoing the procedure because BodyTite only offers a way to get toned, tighter arms with just a few days of downtime and not actually the solution for weight loss.
