DO YOU REMEMBER THE VERY MOMENT YOU DECIDED TO GO AHEAD WITH TREATMENT?

I got a sudden outbreak of severe cystic acne when I was 18 and over the period of 4 months, I didn’t leave the house due to how bad it was.

It was in between completing my A levels and finding a job and I refused to go to interviews due to the fact my confidence was so low.

WHAT WERE YOUR PROBLEM AREAS?

I was diagnosed with severe cystic acne all over the face. My cheeks were covered in very painful cysts which caused such discomfort that I couldn’t even sleep on my side. Nothing I did seemed to help; I didn't know what to do.

HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS?

'Happy' is an understatement. I will forever be grateful for Harley Street Skin as in a short amount of time, I managed to make the cysts much better and get them under control.

WHAT WAS IT ABOUT THE HARLEY STREET SKIN CLINIC THAT TOOK YOUR FANCY?

Actually it was because I had watched the TV programme [Stitch Me, Lift Me, Tuck Me - SkyLiving] and there was a similar girl to me on there. That drew me in.

Dr Khan and Lesley were so lovely and I am so thankful for their help; it has helped me more then they will ever know!

The whole clinic was always so friendly - some of the girls would even hold my hand during the more painful treatments at the beginning!

CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE PROCEDURE DAY?

Because the condition made my face so sore, procedure days were always a little scary for me.

I had a lot of intensive treatments such as laser therapies, microneedling, PRP etc... but everyone made me feel very comfortable and I was always very glad to see the improvements once they were over!

HAVE THERE BEEN ANY PERKS THAT YOU WEREN'T EXPECTING?

I've got so much confidence. I do still have my scars - because the acne was so severe - but I still work on these and am confident they will reduce over the years now I know what products to use.

WHAT WOULD YOU TELL PEOPLE THAT WERE ON THE FENCE ABOUT TAKING A SIMILAR ROUTE?

Definitely go to Harley Street Skin - they saved me! I would really encourage people that are struggling with acne to not feel like they need to hide away, go and see someone.

Seriously, when I look at the before and after photos, it's crazy to see the improvement. I've come such a long way!

I really don’t know where I’d be if my face had continued to worsen without any treatment.

WOULD YOU CONSIDER POPPING BACK TO THE CLINIC IN FUTURE?

Definitely! I'm now at a point where I'm much more confident, and within a few months of treatment, I started going out again and even landed myself a brand new job.
