Ageing Neck
What are neck wrinkles?
Neck wrinkles are folds on the neck skin. They develop naturally with age, but things like sun damage, genetics or daily habits can make them appear earlier. With time, the skin loses collagen and elasticity, leading to fine horizontal neck lines developing or deeper wrinkles.
Neck wrinkles affect both men and women and their severity differs from person to person. Some might notice only a few faint lines, while others might develop deeper creases and loose skin.
Tech neck: What is it?
Keeping hours of neck down at the phones, tablets, and laptops exerts a lot of pressure on the neck. This repetitive movement causes deep creasing with time, ageing the skin faster than normal.
Tech neck occurs when we constantly lean our heads forward, which causes the skin to crease in the same spot over and over. As we get older and our collagen breaks down, those horizontal lines become permanent wrinkles. But poor posture weakens the elasticity of the skin too, making it more difficult to remain smooth and firm.
