How does Nefertiti neck lift work?
Nefertiti neck lift is a non-surgical treatment that raises and tightens the lower face, neck and jawline. It is named after the Egyptian Queen Nefertiti, who was known for her elegant neck. This procedure involves tiny amounts of Botox, injected precisely into particular muscles across the neck and jawline.
Some muscles pull facial features downwards (depressors), while others balance this by pulling them upwards (elevators). The Botox treatment relaxes the downward pull muscles of the jawline. At your appointment, the provider will cleanse the injection sites, and could apply a numbing cream, but in many cases it is unnecessary. You will be asked to contract your neck and make the platysma bands visible, usually, it takes 15–20 units on each side for the Botox to be injected into your jawline and upper neck.
The procedure lasts approximately 15 to 20 minutes, with minimal downtime. Some bruising, redness, or swelling is normal and will subside within a few days. It is a fast, easy “lunchtime” treatment that offers natural-looking results.
The effects of a neck botox typically remain for 3 to 6 months. As the treatment is Botox, the body will slowly metabolise it and the effects will wear off.
You will begin to see a subtle lifting effect in the jawline and neck in a matter of days following the neck lift up, about 3 to 5 days. Final results take a bit longer and are usually noticeable at around 10 to 14 days after the treatment.
