It is a non-surgical cosmetic therapy that helps improve facial skin laxity and define the neck and jawline. The Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) thread is used and put under the skin in the form of a cone. It comes in the opposite way. It grabs and lifts the tissues on the face and neck.
Once the needle has been removed, the tissue starts to gather within the cones. It provides a lifting and tightening effect on the skin and allows the stimulation of natural collagen production as it heals.
The threads used in Silhouette Soft Thread Lifts help by enhancing collagen production after the healing process. The treatment improves facial skin laxity and helps redefine the jawline and neck. A 2017 study shows that the effect of Thread Lift is a more structured and tighter appearance of the skin.
Inside the treatment room, your skin will be prepared by cleansing with alcohol and injecting local anaesthesia. The doctor will start the treatment by inserting the threads using a cannula or tiny needles. Your doctor will need to cut the needle once the insertion is done. You will feel tightness and pressure on your skin after the treatment.
The process may last from 30 minutes up to 1 hour to be finished. The exact time will depend on how many threads your doctor will be using and the area that needs to be treated.
Silhouette soft is safe to use because the biocompatible thread also known as polylactic acid (PLA) that is used in the treatment is approved by FDA. The treatment can be performed under local anaesthesia. It is minimally invasive and does not need surgery. The doctor just needs to use a tiny needle to perform the treatment.
The Thread Lift treatments are typically well tolerated because they are designed as minimally painful. Patients usually feel pressure and pulling of the skin during the procedure, but there is no pain as it is performed under local anaesthesia. Discomfort may be experienced after the procedure but can be managed with the help of pain relievers.

You can combine other treatments with Silhouette Soft Thread Lift like Botox to help reduce your wrinkles, dermal fillers to restore volume, and laser or feel to improve your skin texture. Having these treatments with Silhouette Soft will provide optimal results.
You should wait for at least 24 to 48 hours before applying makeup on your face. You need to let the point of insertion heal first to avoid infection. Be gentle and do not apply too much pressure on the treated area when applying your makeup. Using clean makeup and tools will help to lessen the risk of infection.
Thread Lift is a minimally invasive procedure and needs little recovery. Some patients may return to work after 3 days of having treatment. You need to follow post-treatment care from your doctor for a faster recovery.

Before having a Thread Lift, make time to consult your medical professionals to discuss and get to know everything about the treatment.
