Make sure the skin is in excellent condition by taking care of it about three weeks before the operation, washing it regularly, and protecting it with sunscreen. Plan time off work and organise support for when you come back home from the hospital. Stop smoking at least four weeks in advance. Stay healthy and eat well instead of going for quick weight-loss programs. Be also careful with specific drugs and supplements that promote bleeding.
Expect the appearance of your eye to improve in 1-3 months. The healing process differs, but you should anticipate being weak for about 24-72 hours following the eyelid surgery.
