An InstaLift is a 2-step process consisting of motorised microneedling and high intensity ultrasound.
The first stage makes use of an implement known as an Innopen - a rejuvenating pen-shaped device which uses medical micro-needles to create thousands of microscopic needle-columns in the skin. This is a means of causing micro-injury to the body in order to stimulate the body's natural response to heal and repair itself. This, therefore, encourages the production of both collagen and elastin (the youth proteins).
The needle columns created in the skin by the Innopen then also work as micro-channels which allow topical gels, creams and serums to be absorbed much more effectively. No need to panic, though; a topical anaesthetic cream is applied prior to Innopen treatment, so you won't feel a thing.
Stage two of the InstaLift is geared specifically at skin tightening, and makes use of High Intensity Focused Ultrasound or HIFU. This handheld device helps tighten and lift both the neck and face by delivering a series of ultrasound pulses to the skin. These pulses bypass the skin’s top layer, delving deep into the underlying connective tissue to create thermal injury and cellular friction. The result? Much tighter, firmer skin.
The InstaLift is an incredibly comprehensive, non-invasive procedure. Results you can expect will include: tightened skin, restored volume to cheeks and a significantly lifted lower face as well as brighter, healthier and younger-looking skin.
InstaLifts are also a fantastically effective method of neck lifting, creating a profile which appears both slimmer and much more streamlined. For tighter, firmer and lifted skin with fewer wrinkles and discolouration - the InstaLift truly is a cosmetic no-brainer.
Patients may reap the benefits of the Instalift for up to 4 years, although effects can last indefinitely with maintenance treatment.

InstaLifts should take around 1 hour to complete. This time will consist of thorough exfoliation and Innopen microneedling, facial massage, treatment with the HIFU handpiece and a course of rejuvenating serums and creams.
The skin will continue to heal and generate new cells over the course of the few weeks post treatment, in preparation for your next InstaLift treatment 2 weeks later.
Temporary side effects of the InstaLift will include: mild redness and bruising, both of which can easily be concealed with makeup if necessary.
Treatment will also leave the skin feeling slightly tender and tight for a few days. This can be likened to the sensation of minor sunburn. This, too, is short lived and is perfectly normal as fresh skin begins to form over the treated areas.
Recovery from an InstaLift is minimal, however, as the InstaLift is a multi-stage procedure, you should allocate up to 8 weeks to the healing process in total.
Each installment of InstaLift typically takes place around 2 weeks after your previous visit to the clinic, and therefore the area will once again appear flushed and on occasion, mildly bruised. Re-treating the area at this time is crucial for reaching deep down into the underlying tissue and attaining the best results possible.
Skin should only remain flushed and tender for roughly 3-7 days, but you should expect some peeling and flaking beyond this.
This is often a case of preference.
Some patients choose to take a few days from work following an InstaLift, purely to let any lingering redness and/bruising subside, whereas others feel perfectly willing to return to work the following day.
Any residual redness can be concealed with makeup, and should not affect your ability to get back to normality very quickly, if preferred.
