Most of the screening tests for cancer are quick and may have a little to no pain. You may experience mild discomfort, pressure, or slight embarrassment depending on the type of screening, but you may just feel these for a short period of time.
The time it takes to receive your results depends on what type of cancer screening you have.
For blood test results, you may get it within 1 to 5 working days. If you get imaging scans, such as mammograms, CT scans, and other laboratory tests, it may take 1 to 2 weeks before you get the results.
